OVERVIEW:

This course consists of range time with revolvers and semi-auto pistols in drills and exercises in use by operators both civilian and military. Students wll refresh themselves with NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation.  Carry techniques, holsters, firearms will be discussed as necessary. Ammunition, shooting fundamentals, dry-fire training, range rules, one and two handed, standing, kneeling, seated, prone positions, shooting on the move, and continued opportunities for skill development. The student will develop reactionary competence through simulated situations and demanding initiative based drills. Students will receive a course completion certificate.  

 

PAYMENT:

Enrollment is upon receipt of the course fee of $250.00 mailed to PO Box 3956, Durango, CO 81302.  The check should be made payable to Wolverine School and received by the Monday prior to the course.  Should you subsequently decide to not participate you will be refunded 20% of the fee.  We also understand that life throws curve balls and your unavoidable conflicts will accomodated to the best of our ability.

Equipment Requirements 

  • 400 rounds of ball ammo (factory is highly recommended)
  • At least three(3) Magazines or speed loaders
  • Belt pouches for magazines
  • Eye protection
  • Hearing protection (electronic is highly recommended)
  • Ball cap or other billed cap
  • Clothing appropriate for conditions
  • Knee/elbow pads optional 

Firearm and Ammo Requirements:

The firearm must be fully functional, have all factory-installed safety devices intact, and have no dangerous modifications. Training is designed for full sized or compact firearms carried in holster on the strong side hip.  All techniques tranlsate to your carry pistol/holster or carry preference combination.  Basic similarity of class  equipment allows simplicity and safety of training. Holsters must correctly fit the firearm, completely cover the trigger guard, remain open for reholstering when the firearm is drawn.  Factory ammunition is required, NO reloads. Minimum age is 16.
